This emerald began its journey in the copperbelt region of Zambia, where careful artisanal and small scale mining revealed a transparent green crystal with notable depth of tone. After extraction the rough stone was documented, photographed, and gently cleaned to reveal its natural clarity and internal structure. During initial sorting the rough material was selected for its transparent character and intense color, attributes that informed the decision to cut the stone as a round shape to maximize color saturation and light performance. The finished gemstone measures 7.06 x 7.05 x 4.85 mm, and weighs 1.37 carat. Throughout transit from mine to processing facility, the piece was accompanied by chain of custody records and basic origin documentation, supporting traceability back to Zambia.
At the cutting facility the rough was evaluated by experienced lapidaries and planned for a faceted mixed brilliant cut to balance brilliance and color. Cutting decisions prioritized retention of weight while opening facets to reveal internal features, resulting in an eye visible included clarity, evaluated at eye level, consistent with its natural formation. The polish was carried to an excellent standard, and the final polish and facet symmetry were checked through multiple inspections. Enhancement is standard, in line with trade practices for emeralds, and disclosed with the stone. The finished gem displays intense color intensity and a well executed mixed brilliant faceting pattern that yields lively scintillation and even color distribution. Final quality control at The Natural Emerald Company included precise measurement, photographic documentation, and verification of weight, dimensions, cut style, clarity grade, color intensity, polish quality, enhancement disclosure, and origin. The stone is presented as a single transparent 1.37 carat round green emerald, suitable for fine jewelry settings where its measured dimensions and mixed brilliant cut will perform predictably, and where its documented journey from Zambian mine to market offers buyers clarity on provenance and treatment.
