18K White Gold Pave Ring Setting
This custom made pave ring setting is engineered to deliver maximum scintillation through precise micro setting and considered proportions, available in 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 18K yellow gold, platinum 950, 14K yellow and white, and 18K yellow and white. The pavilion and crown geometry of the mounting is optimized for a hidden halo, where a secondary, recessed ring of stones sits directly beneath the center stone seat to redirect light upward into the pavilion. The pave technique employed uses closely matched melee stones set with minimal bead or shared-prong metal, producing a continuous, seamless plane of sparkle. Typical side stone specifications for this setting are 1.0 to 2.0 millimeters in diameter, corresponding to approximately 0.005 to 0.03 carats, set with consistently sized seats and uniform bead profiles to maintain even crown height and consistent light return. For customers specifying diamonds as accent stones we recommend color grades in the G to H range for near-colorless appearance on warm metals and D to F for maximum colorless contrast in platinum and white gold mounts. Bead count, drill depth, and seat angulation are CNC verified and hand-touched to avoid overcutting and to preserve girdle integrity of the melee stones.
The setting supports a wide array of center stone types and cuts, accommodating sapphires, rubies, emeralds, and other colored gemstones, as well as classic diamond cuts. The head geometry and prong configuration are modular to accept round brilliant cuts from approximately 0.5 carat to 5.0 carats, oval cuts within a similar face-up area, cushion cuts, princess and asscher step cuts, emerald cuts with elongated table planes, pear and marquise shapes with tapered prong placements, and triangular/trillion stones with reinforced corners. For step-cut center stones such as emerald and asscher, the hidden halo is adjusted to preserve clean line reflections and to avoid color wash, while for brilliant-cut centers the halo and pavé spacing are tightened to enhance scintillation. For colored center stones we advise selecting sapphires and rubies with strong saturation and medium to medium-dark tone, and emeralds with trade-expected inclusions and secure setting seats to accommodate their cleavage tendencies. All settings are finished with polished or brushed options per metal choice, and final quality control includes loupe inspection, stone retention torque checks, and a photographic report of seat and prong profiles prior to shipping.
