From the moment this emerald first caught the light beneath the African soil, its journey has been one of careful discovery and respectful transformation, a story we are proud to tell at The Natural Emerald Company. Mined in Zambia, this translucent round emerald began as a living fragment of earth, its vivid green color developing over eons in a rich geological environment. Skilled cutters recognized the gem’s natural character and shaped it into a 3.56 carat cabochon, with dimensions of 9.11 by 8.98 by 6.22 millimeters, preserving the stone’s depth and inner glow. The cabochon cut enhances the emerald’s luminous body color and showcases an excellent polish, while the clarity grade of very slightly included, evaluated at eye level, speaks to the gem’s natural origin. With standard enhancement to stabilize and clarify its appearance, the stone arrives to the bench ready to be cherished.

In the workshop the emerald is entirely embraced in 18K white gold, the smooth bezel cradling the cabochon like a tiny polished bowl, and the thoughtful chain selection completes the narrative. The chain is a delicate bead link design that mirrors the gem’s round silhouette, offering a softer, more organic line than a snake chain, and a less rigid look than a box chain. Compared to a rope or curb chain, the bead link chain sits with greater flexibility and breathability against the skin, reducing tug and minimizing the chance of catching on fabric, while still providing the strength to support daily wear. Its subtle texture catches light in a complementary way to the stone’s glow, creating movement without distraction.
