This ring centers on an ICA certified 3.50 carat emerald cut green emerald, dimensions 10.01 x 7.92 x 5.56 mm, cut with classic step facets that emphasize depth of color and a broad table plane. The cutting and polishing work is precise, producing an excellent polish and even facet junctions that optimize light return for a step cut, while preserving the stone geometry that yields a saturated, vivid green. Origin Zambia provides the characteristic bluish green spectrum and the intense color saturation reported on the certificate. Clarity is graded included at eye level, which in emerald gemology denotes natural jardin inclusions visible to the unaided eye. Because step facets produce large, planar surfaces, inclusions are more apparent in an emerald cut than in brilliant cuts, however this stone has been carefully oriented and cut to minimize visual disruption to the color field, so the eye perceives a strong, uniform color with inclusions that contribute to character rather than detract from overall presence.
The mounting and melee complement the center stone with a total of approximately 0.95 carats of white round natural diamonds, allocated as 0.39 carats, 0.14 carats, and 0.42 carats, each graded clarity VS and color F G, set in meticulous pavé around the band and under gallery elements. The diamonds are hand set in 18K yellow gold using tight pavé settings that create continuous scintillation against the warm metal, while a four prong basket secures the emerald, allowing maximum light interaction with controlled protection of the stone corners. Compared to other high end rings on the market, clarity expectations differ by gem species. High end diamond rings often prioritize VVS to IF clarity when paired with high colorless grades, producing overt brilliance and market premium. High end emerald rings instead balance intense saturation and natural origin against the industry norm of inclusions, because emeralds almost universally contain internal features. In that context this included grade is consistent with fine Zambian material where strong color and superior cutting take precedence, and the excellent polish and considered setting elevate perceived transparency and brilliance relative to many gem entries at comparable price points. The Natural Emerald Company sources and finishes each piece to emphasize optimal color and structural integrity, offering a ring that performs visually with the impact of far more flawless material while retaining the natural character expected in top tier emeralds.
