Miners brought forth a transparent rough that promised a vivid green, and at The Natural Emerald Company we began the slow work of revealing that promise. The rough was assessed, measured, and guided to a master cutter who chose a mixed brilliant cut to balance sparkle and color. The result is a round shape green emerald, 0.37 carat, measuring 5.03 x 5.03 x 2.88 mm, with a clarity grade of slightly included evaluated at eye level, medium color saturation, and an excellent polish that sends light back in lively flashes. Each facet was carefully planned to maximize face up color and return of light, and the cutter adjusted angles to preserve transparency while embracing the stone s natural inclusions as part of its authentic character.

After cutting, the gem moved to our silversmiths where the pendant was formed entirely in silver, made to honor the emerald rather than overshadow it. Every prong was filed and fitted by hand, the curves smoothed and the seat for the gem tested until the stone sat secure and true.
